Issue Two of Sweet and Sour Zine is here! Come celebrate the launch of our second issue at aMBUSH Gallery Kambri at the ANU, where you can be the first to purchase a copy of the zine.
Expect to be entertained by a DJ, live music, an exhibition, readings from the zine by their authors, and a live painting session. A full line-up will be announced closer to the event ! HERE I AM: Art by Great Women exhibition will be showing at aMBUSH Gallery Kambri so come prepared to see some beautiful art by incredible women.
Sweet and Sour will also be releasing their highly anticipated limited merchandise designed by Asian-Australian artists – so come support some local artists, sip some wine and enjoy some amazing art.
Sweet and Sour is a quarterly Zine publication based in Canberra. Our focus is on Asian identities, and the unique experiences associated with being Asian in Australia. When more than one culture demands your allegiance, there is a bizarre sense of existing between multiple worlds, yet not fully belonging to either. Many of us belong to multiple cultural identities, and face issues relating to belonging, racism and identity. Sweet and Sour is a safe space to explore and share our cultures in a supportive and creative environment.
