Lakespeare Shakespeare by the Lakes III

16 Feb 2020

Shakespeare by the Lakes III: A Midsummer Night’s Dream will come to the ANU campus on February 16 thanks to Kambri at ANU.

Shakespeare by the Lakes III: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of Shakespeare’s most loved comedies, is presented by Lakespeare & Co. (Taimus Werner-Gibbings, Lexi Sekuless, Duncan Driver and Paul Leverenz), an independent theatre company on a mission to make high-quality theatre more accessible.

Lakespeare’s summer shows are FREE for everyone and fun for all. They bring the community together and provide an enjoyable, family-friendly event for all ages. The company is in its third year and have achieved great success with audiences of over 4,000 Canberrans in 2018 and almost 6,000 in 2019.

Following the production model of New York’s Shakespeare in the Park and the performance model of London’s Globe, these shows are presented by local actors who have undergone intense verse training so that you can understand every word and feel the story brought right to you!
