Lakespeare returns to the ANU Amphitheatre for free Shakespeare by the Lakes IV: As YOu Like It on Saturday 25 February at 6pm. Grab a meal and a beverage before, during or after at Badger and Co. As You Like It tells a story of love overcoming adversity. It features evil Dukes, mistaken identities, bad poetry (from characters, not the author!), wandering jesters, an other-worldly forest where everyone escapes to and there is much-unrequited love. If As You Like It were a movie it would be described as ‘feel-good’ and this production will also feature several original musical pieces by composer Jay Cameron that are sure to uplift the spirits. Forget any bad high school memories of Shakespeare and kick the COVID-blues! This will be a tremendous amount of fun with plenty of local Canberra references. You had better register soon as this will be booked out before the show day. Under our COVID protocols, registration is required. No walk-ins.
