Game On Where Gaming Meets Art

Game On – The Free ANU Hangout in Joplin Lane Where Gaming Meets Art
Open 10am – 4pm Daily
Joplin Lane

Take your recreation time to the next level – gather your friends and chill out at Game On, the free games arcade at Kambri at ANU featuring pinball and arcade machines, plus air hockey, ping pong and more.

Located at Joplin Lane (Shop 156-B6), this vibrant pop-up opens on 3 February and is free for ANU students, staff and visitors. Contributing to the lively atmosphere, the space is punctuated by specially commissioned large-scale artworks created by the exceptional talent from the ANU School of Art & Design (SOAD). The result is a stress-free haven to game, socialise, and be immersed in creativity.

Game On is presented by Kambri at ANU, and produced and curated by aMBUSH Gallery Canberra. It will be open 7 days a week, free of charge from 3 February – just in time for O Week! Opening hours are 10am until 4pm daily.

The venue will operate according to current government rules and regulations. Visitors will be required to check-in upon arrival, and density limits will apply.

The current and former SOAD students commissioned to create artworks in Game On are known for work that is both meaningful and inspirational, often reflecting topical themes. The artists are Faith Kerehona @faithsprays, Izaäk Bink @izaak.bink, Samantha Corbett @samanthacorbett_art, Georgia Kamvissis @_giorgi_o_ and Natasha Pidcock @artbytashpidcock

Whether you want to get in on the gaming action, enjoy the art from SOAD talent, contribute to the communal display, or just relax, Game On is the perfect place to switch into player mode and escape into another world in 2022.
