Dr Karl Kruszelnicki AM Meet the Author

5 Nov 2019

Follow Dr Karl Kruszelnicki AM, Australia’s favourite science guru, on a multimedia Random Road Trip Through Science.

Dr Karl will lead the audience on a mission to track down awe and wonder in the universe. He asks: Why do wombats poo cubes? What nearly destroyed humanity on Halloween 2015? How do you use an incinerating toilet? Plus a whole lot more. So strap in and get ready for a random ride through the universe. Who knows where you’ll end up!

Karl Kruszelnicki has degrees in Physics and Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine and Surgery and has worked as a physicist, tutor, filmmaker, car mechanic, labourer, and a medical doctor. The Random Road Trip is his 45th popular science book, with total book sales now over 1 million copies.

The vote of thanks will be given by Professor Graham Durant AM, Director of Questacon, Australia’s National Science and Technology Centre. He is an Honorary Professor at the Australian National University and led the Inspiring Australia initiative to develop a national science communication strategy for Australia. He is Vice President of the Asia-Pacific network of science centres and a member of the board of the Australian Science Media Centre.
