Join Rosie Armstrong for a relaxing afternoon workshop at Kambri at ANU and learn how to make baskets for beginners. It’s simple when you know how!You will be guided through the making of coiled and stitched baskets using natural and other fibres, large-eyed needles and thread. Individual needs will be catered for and you can expect to be able to complete at least one small basket.Beginners will learn skills to create a simple vessel/basket shape.Natural and alternative materials will be used. No experience is required. You will go home with hands on and research skills to be able to start your own project independently.
You will need to wear work clothes and covered shoes. All necessary tools and materials will be provided, but feel free to bring along specific materials you may prefer to use.
