ANU Thrive presents for University Mental Health Day a calming ceramics workshop.  Learn different clay moulding techniques to decorate and personalise your own ceramic creation.

About this event

Join us this University Mental Health Day (UMHD) to participate in a calming ceramics workshop. During the workshop you will be guided how to create a mug or plate using the pinch pot method. You will have opportunities to learn different clay moulding techniques to decorate and personalise your own ceramic creation.

All materials will be provided by ANU Thrive for the workshop, but attendees must wear enclosed shoes and a mask.

At the end of the class, you will have a mug or plate created by you which will be fired and glazed and will then be ready for pickup at a future date. As it takes time for clay to dry, fire and glaze there will be about a 2 month wait time until pick up.

Masks will be required during this event. If you are COVID-19 positive, have any COVID-19 symptoms, or are considered a close contact do not attend.
