Hailing from Canberra at the age of 22, Ally Hocking Howe is an accomplished Jazz/ Contemporary Violinist. With over 5 years of gigging experience in and around the ACT region and internationally, she currently studies Jazz/ Contemporary Violin as well as Medical Science at the Australian National University.
Ally makes appearances in multiple musical projects across the ACT with her primary group – BURNISH currently planning an EP release of original pop-folk electronica music. Ally’s sound has been developed and honed through international performance and mentorship, with private masterclass sessions with industry heavyweights Regina Carter and Scott Tixier to name a few. There has been a space in the Contemporary Pop/Folk Electronica musical landscape the size of a skilled violist, and Ally Hocking-Howe, age 22 – is filling that space.
